Kayleigh and Jason have such a unique connection; you feel it just being in the presence of both of them.

I loved being able to document their wedding. I don’t think I have ever taken so many gut laughing photos in my life. 

They say, it takes a village to raise children, yes, but it also takes a village to be a support for a solid marriage. I can say just being there to document their big day; their village is strong and loving.

I wish only for endless blessings and joys for you both.

This verse describes Katie's heart to a T. She is one selfless lady, and has the biggest heart for others. I have been friends with Katie for 13 years now. So this past Saturday was such an honor to be the one to document her marrying her best friend Tyler.

Tyler, is so sweet and so mindful of others as well. If you ever get to hangout with these two you will roll over laughing, they are all about their corny jokes. You will also feel very loved because they both have such big hearts. Which are just two little things that make them such a wonderful couple.

I can't wait to see what God has in store for these two. Their wedding was so sweet and beautiful; there were so many times I was fighting back tears. It also made it difficult on which photos to pick out for this blog because there are so many great ones.

AS MANY KNOW MY FAMILY AND I MOVED TO PORTLAND IN DECEMBER OF 2017. MOVING TO FOLLOW DREAMS, CALLING, AND STEP INTO THE GREAT ADVENTURE THAT LIFE BRINGS US. 

WITH THAT MEANS GIVING UP SOO MUCH. MORE THAN WE COULD EVER IMAGINE. TIME WITH FAMILY, WITH BEST FRIENDS, WITH PEOPLE THAT YOU PUT TIME INTO AND HAD MOMENTS OF BUILDING LIVES WITH. TELLING THE PEOPLE WHO ARE DEAREST TO YOU, THAT YOU'RE LEAVING THEM, AND WATCHING THEIR FACES FALL. GIVING UP YOUR JOBS, STABILITY, AND FOR ME MY PASSION. MY PHOTOGRAPHY IN IOWA WAS TAKING OFF. I FINALLY HAD CLIENTS, NOT JUST CLIENTS, I WAS APART OF DOCUMENTING THEIR LIVES, THEIR FAMILIES. TELLING THEM THIS WILL BE OUR LAST SESSION, AND RECOMMENDING THEM TO OTHER PHOTOGRAPHERS (THAT WAS SO DIFFICULT).

YET, HERE I AM. HERE IS MY LITTLE FAMILY THAT WE ARE GROWING. HERE IS MY PHOTOGRAPHY BUSINESS THAT I AM FINALLY GETTING OUT OF MY INSECURITY RUT, AND BRANCHING OUT AGAIN. STARTING NEW, STARTING FRESH. LOTS AND LOTS OF HARDWORK AHEAD TO GET TO WHERE I WAS. CHANGE IS DIFFICULT, IT'S BITTERSWEET AT TIMES, BUT I AM EXCITED TO SEE WHERE IT TAKES ME. YES, IT HAS BEEN ALMOST TWO YEARS SINCE I HAVE LIVED IN IOWA, BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN MY LIFE THERE IS FORGOTTEN. THAT DOESN'T MEAN THE PEOPLE I MET AND LOVED ARE FORGOTTEN IN MY NEW WORLD. IT JUST MEANS THERE ARE MORE MILES IN BETWEEN. (ALSO, THANK GOD FOR TECHNOLOGY)

SO WITH THAT, HERE I AM STARTING AFRESH, PICKING MY PASSION FOR MY PHOTOGRAPHY BUSINESS SLOWLY BUT SURELY BACK UP AGAIN, IN A NEW PLACE, WITH NEW FACES.

Austin and Brittney's wedding was like walking through a love story. They bring a spark into each other's eyes, whenever one walks into the room. It was truly beautiful to see and to capture.

I had so much fun meeting their entire family, and their sweet baby girl Laila. Brittany was the sweetest bride to work with, and capture a lovely Boudoir session for her hubby's gift on their wedding day. Which capturing Austin's reactions when he opened the gift, showed the it couldn't have been more of a perfect gift! :)

I loved this session because first I was blessed to work with some of the cutest kids, second it was my second time being in a studio since college, and it allowed me to work more closely with the family. The studio gives you such a  calm environment with great lighting, it has more of a modern, minimalistic look to it. I was able to work with Jackie Turnquist, who creates beautiful floral backgrounds for portraits and other events. I always love collaborating with other entrepreneurs, it makes my sessions even more exciting.
